Wow! What a nice 56th birthday I had!
First, Karen gave me clothes, socks & Snow Leopard! Can't wait to install it! Then, after a short walk with Brutus around the neighborhood, we travelled up to West Campus parking for the Wisconsin game. And WHAT A GAME IT WAS!! An impressive win for the Defense and Special Teams!
Afterward, we visited Mom, who gave us a beautiful pumpkin-shaped iced brownie. Just what our waistlines needed! And it was G-o-o-d, too! Pizza for a late dinner and the day was done.
Another year in! Woo-Hoo!

Princess Kilowatt
Princess Kilowatt has cancer. She has small lumps, and a larger one under her skin on her shoulder. Amazingly, tonight, the lump on her 3rd eyelid has reduced to the point where we can now see her eye. It might be due to the steroid shot the vet gave her two days ago. Kiki is still ambulatory, and doesn't seem to know she's sick. So, that's a bit of a relief. Still, the discussion's started on if we should put her down or not. It's too early.. I'm not ready for her to leave.

Do you ever wonder
where in the hell the time goes?! This last 10 years has flown by! My birthday's coming up in a couple of weeks, but it seems like I only just turned 50. How'd we get to #56 so fast?

Tomorrow
marks the 29th anniversary of a very important event in our lives. Seth was born at 4:06 p.m. (I think). I remember it began the night before, a Friday, because we had our neighbors, Joey and Mike, over for spaghetti dinner when Karen's water broke. Seth was born 20-some hours later, on August 16, which was also the day of that year's union picnic. One of the happiest days of my life, I'll tell ya!
So, Happy Birthday, Seth! You're the best son!
Love ya!

Love makes you do silly things
So, to show my never-ending and complete love for my wife, I decided to have her beautiful name affixed permanently to my left ring finger. As this was my first (and only) tattoo, I wasn't sure what to expect, but it only took 7 minutes and wasn't too uncomfortable. It's only slightly swollen, and I should be able to wear my ring in a week or so. Here's a close-up:

Can we just stay here and never go home?
First, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, KAREN! 34 years of putting up with me... geesh! Thank you!
Pictures (on Facebook) linked to the title, folks. Just click on it.
Wow! We picked THE nicest place to stay on St. Pete Beach: Trade Winds Island Grand Resort. The room is wonderful, the service excellent, with very good food! Our 5th floor balcony opens up to the Gulf of Mexico, about 100 yards away. The calming sound of the surf never stops, and is such a great way to go to sleep, and to wake up. The sun, surf and sand work magic on your cares and worries. If I didn't have to go back, I don't think I would.
Well, time for my afternoon siesta...
Comment on paradise, if you dare! lol
